Kids yoga, mental math games, and time to meet other Queens homeschool families. Ages 5 to 12, parents welcome. Sponsored by Outschool.
About this Event

Bring the kids to Forest Park for a free hour of movement, math, and meeting new friends.

What we'll do: 30 minutes of kids yoga (playful poses, balance games, and breathing, no experience needed), 20 minutes of mental math games from my Outschool class, and 10 minutes for families to meet each other.

Who it's for: kids ages 5 to 12. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in or relax nearby. Perfect for homeschool families and anyone curious about homeschooling.

What to bring: a yoga mat or towel if you have one (I'll have spares) and comfy clothes. Water and snacks are provided.

Where: Forest Park, Queens. I'll email the exact meeting spot to everyone registered the week of the event.

Rain date: if it rains, we'll move to Saturday, October 31, same time. Registered families will get an email.

Your host: I'm Mehreen, a math teacher with a BA in mathematics and a registered yoga teacher. I teach kids yoga and mental math classes on Outschool.

Sponsored by Outschool: this meetup is free thanks to the Outschool Insider program. At the meetup you can fill out a quick Outschool interest form to be entered to win a $50 Outschool gift card. New to Outschool? Code KABIR50 gets you $50 off a class (I earn a referral credit if you use it).
