About this Event
Celebrate the release of Claudette Shatto’s newest children’s book, The Gratitude Rock, at the Napa Valley Writers Book Festival!
Children can choose a gently used stuffed animal to adopt and take home, then cozy up with their new friend for storytime. Readings of The Gratitude Rock will happen throughout the day in both English and Spanish.
Kids can also paint their own gratitude rock to take home and start a gratitude tradition of their own.
The Gratitude Rock and the Spanish edition, La piedra de la gratitud, will both be available.
Perfect for families with children ages 4–8, educators, caregivers, and anyone who loves children’s books.
Free and open to the community. RSVP encouraged, but not required.
And while you’re there, enjoy the full festival! Featured authors include San Francisco Chronicle outdoors writer Tom Stienstra at 11:15 a.m. and Rex Pickett, critically acclaimed author of Sideways, at 1 p.m.
The day will also include author tables, independent bookstores, food trucks, additional programming, and an open mic from 3–4 p.m.
