Join us on this free family friendly walk from Sowerby Bridge Family Hub to Allan Park, a fab green space above the town. Are you looking for new and exciting walking routes that are also child-friendly?
Then why not join our Walk Leaders as they guide you on this 3.2km walk (2 miles) around Allan Park.
Allan Park is a fab green space on the hill behind Sowerby Bridge train station. With rocks to climb on, bushes to play in, and winding paths to explore, there's a lot to do.
The route will head up through the park, to the hillside above with a great view back over Sowerby Bridge, and plenty of farm animals to see before heading back down to the playground. There'll be a Nature Scavenger Hunt, and older children will have the chance to practise simple navigation skills.
Due to the hilly route and mixed terrain, the walk is suitable for children of walking age, ideally age six and over.
