What to Cut, What to Keep, & What to Plant Now!
A great garden is never static. There is always something changing, cycling and evolving.
As our gardens begin to slow down for a much-deserved rest, our job is to see them off to sleep with care and love and to prepare them for their best season yet: next spring. 🪻
Join us for a free, informal walk through our garden spaces as we talk about how to prepare your garden beds for winter. We’ll cover which plants respond well to pruning, which ones are best left standing to provide food and shelter for wildlife, and good pruning practices for a variety of perennials and shrubs.✂️
Have a question about something growing in your own garden? Bring your questions and photos! We’ll be happy to help you figure out the best way to care for your particular plants.
Two locations:
11 am - Berns Middletown
2 pm - Berns Beavercreek

We’ll also talk about one of our favorite fall gardening tasks: planting spring-blooming bulbs. Learn when to plant, how to plant different types of bulbs, and how to design with them for a beautiful spring display.
🌷Let’s put the garden to bed and give it everything it needs to wake up beautifully next spring.
