A free showing of Hope! We are On Time Episode 4 - a docuseries on hope, positive stories, climate change and sustainabilityAbout this Event
Project Description:
What if we looked at the climate conversation a little differently?
Less alarm. Less doom. Less blame. And more hope, possibility and stories about what we can actually do. That’s why Cardiff Met is taking HOPE! On Tour.
What does that mean?
It means exploring the future through stories of solutions, innovation and people creating change, and remembering that there is still time and there are still things we can do.
Cardiff Met is organising a series of free screenings of HOPE! We Are On Time across communities in Cardiff. A cutting-edge, inspiring, exciting and visually spectacular docuseries exploring one of the biggest concerns facing citizens around the world: climate change.
The entire series contains 6 episodes, 11 internationally relevant personalities and many others guiding us through the world of what is possible., 4 continents and 24 inspiring stories showing what is already being done to tackle the climate crisis.
All six episodes screenings will be free and will take place in some of the warmest and most beautiful community hubs around Cardiff, bringing people from different backgrounds together.
Starting with our own campus, each month an episode will be shown at Oasis, the Grangetown Pavilion, The Canopi and Chapters Cinema, before ending up back where it all started.
After each episode, we’ll have a chance to chat, reflect and hear from a speaker sharing a local good story, because there is plenty happening right here in Wales, too.
Book your FREE ticket to watch all or one of the episodes today. Episodes can be watched independently for one another but watching the whole series is recommended.
We’ll be showing one episode each month for the next six months, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
This is Episode 4: The Invisible
There are sources of emissions that remain outside our collective imagination: methane leaks, the inefficiency of our homes, and many other things we don’t always see or think about.
But all of these have solutions.
Even complex problems, such as food waste or the excess of meat in our diets, can become allies in the fight against the climate crisis.
This episode explores some of the emissions we don’t always see, while showing us that once we start looking for solutions, even the most complex challenges can become opportunities for change.
