On November 1, more than 1,000 Fred’s Team participants will take on the TCS New York City Marathon — all in support of research at MSK. If you're in the New York City area, come root for these amazing runners and help create one of the most memorable moments on the course.Fans are gathering any time between 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fred’s Team Cheer Section at Mile 17, located on 1st Avenue between 66th and 67th Streets, on the runners’ right. As runners come off the Queensboro Bridge and head up 1st Avenue, the Fred’s Team community will be there to cheer them on loud and proud!
If you've joined us in the past, please note that the Cheer Section has moved one block south of MSK’s Arnold and Marie Schwartz Cancer Research Building and is not located in front of the building entrance.
There will be street closures in the area. If you plan to cross 1st Avenue after 10:00 a.m., you will need to do so below 59th Street.
Friends and Family are welcome to join us, and pom-poms and cheer signs will be provided. We can’t wait to cheer on our runners!
