About this Event

English Canada Premiere · Screenwriter Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay in attendance
François, a 50-year-old screenwriter in professional decline, cynically checks the "transgender" box to improve his chances of securing funding for his latest TV series. When, against all expectations, his plan works and the project is approved, he finds himself having to become… Françoise, a writer beginning her transition. Unable to pull it off alone, he must team up with Sarah, a real trans writer. As Françoise, François finally achieves success. His bank account fills up and he reconnects with his teenage daughter… but as his deception drags on, the price becomes heavier than expected. Françoise frees him just as much as she traps him.
