As part of the National Year of Reading 2026, Nantwich Players will be hosting a free, interactive play reading of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein on Tuesday 24th November, supported by Nantwich Town Council.
The evening will feature a stage adaptation of the classic Gothic tale, written by Rona Munro, offering a different way to experience one of literature's most well-known stories.
Unlike a traditional theatre performance, everyone attending will be invited to take part in reading the play and bringing the characters to life. No previous acting experience is required, making this an opportunity for anyone with an interest in literature, theatre or storytelling to get involved.
The event will take place at Nantwich Players Theatre, 1 Love Lane, Nantwich, with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Entry is free and open to adults aged 18 and over. Spaces are limited, so advance booking is essential.
Alternatively, tickets can be booked by calling 01270 628633 or visiting Nantwich Civic Hall in person.
