FRANK HARTE FESTIVAL 2026
Dublin's Traditional Singing Festival
A truly unique festival in Dublin city - bringing together some of the finest traditional singers from Ireland to this intimate gathering. Hear established exponents as well as the cream of up-and-coming talent in the heart of the city.
Join us for singing sessions, walking-and-singing tours, a gala concert and a singing workshops - all on one jam-packed weekend.

Bi-Lingual Song Workshop: An t-Amhrán Macarónach – The Macaronic Song
Host: Liam Ó Maonlaí
Info: Iarla Ó Muirthile will be giving a workshop focusing on macaronic songs from the Munster tradition. Macaronic songs are particularly common in the south of the country and come from a time when both languages existed side by side to varying degrees. There is a wide range of songs in this style, offering insight into the changing dynamics of their time. Entrance fee: included in Weekend Ticket or €10 payable at the door.

Let Erin Remember – Trinity College Dublin in Song - Singing and Walking Tour
Info: This year’s Traditional Singing Walking Tour will acknowledge Trinity College’s place in the history and culture of Ireland.
The walk will celebrate in traditional song and story a host of Irish patriots, politicians, writers, poets and Nobel Laureates.
The cast includes Swift, Wilde, Goldsmith, Burke, Beckett, Synge, Thomas Davis, Wolfe Tone, Robert Emmet and Edward Carson, to mention but a few.
There will be a focus on the lyrics of Thomas Moore in bringing Edward Buntings harp music collection to a world audience and in keeping the public memory of his friend Robert Emmet alive as a youthful national hero and martyr.
Tour programme, map and song booklet included with the weekend ticket or available for purchase for €5, cash only, provided on the day.

Singing Session and Final Farewell
