The legendary Australian jazz fusion guitarist Frank Gambale arrives in the UK this summer for a major tour, and guitarguitar are delighted to welcome him to our Camden store for a special clinic in association with Cort Guitars.
Meet the Artist
Frank Gambale is a Grammy Award–winning guitar virtuoso who rose to prominence on the Los Angeles music scene in the early 1980s. Renowned for pioneering sweep picking and advancing economy picking techniques, he is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and technically accomplished guitarists in modern music.
Across his impressive career, Frank Gambale has released over 20 studio albums, along with live recordings and numerous collaborations. A prolific composer with more than 250 published songs, his work blends jazz fusion with elements of rock, funk, R&B, and Latin influences. He has toured internationally both as a solo artist and alongside notable acts including Chick Corea’s band.
A musician’s musician, Gambale has also made a lasting impact through his instructional books and DVDs, shaping the approach of guitarists worldwide.
Beyond performance and education, he has contributed to instrument design, collaborating with Cort on signature models under Luxe series label. Continually pushing musical boundaries, Gambale remains revered for his innovation, expressive playing, and enduring influence on generations of musicians.
What’s This Clinic All About?
During the clinic, Frank Gambale will give the attendees a rare glimpse into his impressive career, while showcasing acoustic guitar prowess and sharing inspirational wisdom from years of touring. Frank will demonstrate his go-to techniques, including the revolutionary Gambale Sweep Picking Technique" (an economy picking technique). Frank Gambale will also present a selection of Cort Premium acoustic guitars, including his own signature LUXE II and LUXE Nylon II, which he designed closely in collaboration with the masterminds at Cort!
Upon the end of the event, the audience will have the chance to ask questions during an open Q&A and *take photos/autographs with the artist.

Our Frank Gambale Clinic in association with Cort guitars will take place on Wednesday the 27th May 2026 at 7:00 pm at guitarguitar Camden. This event is free to attend but you must book a ticket as spaces are limited. We’re looking forward to welcoming you there!
