About this Event
Join curators Sophie Bonet and Liliam Domínguez for a guided tour of Hyphenated Encounters, featuring the work of Cuban American artist Lilian Garcia-Roig. Presented through a collaboration between The Frank and Deering Estate, the exhibition explores the connections among landscape, identity, memory, and belonging.
Through close looking and conversation, the curators will share insights into Garcia-Roig’s richly textured paintings, her engagement with place, and the ideas shaping the exhibition. Discover how her encounters with distinct landscapes become layered reflections on cultural identity and lived experience.
Presented in partnership with Deering Estate, Hyphenated Encounters brings together two curatorial perspectives on Lilian Garcia-Roig’s sustained exploration of landscape, identity, and place at The Frank.
Free and open to the public.
