Something special is coming to St. Francis of Assisi Parish!Join us Sunday, October 4, from 12:00–4:00 PM for St. Francis Fest and our outdoor Mass. We will begin with Mass on the Grass at noon, followed by the Blessing of the Pets.
Inspired by St. Francis’s love for God, creation, and all living creatures, this parish gathering will include:

🎶 Live music and dancing
🎯 Kids’ games
📚 Fountaindale Library Bookmobile
⛪ Ministry Fair
🎟️ Basket raffle and 50/50 raffle
🎨 A special painting by Fr. Dindo to be raffled
This year’s celebration has added significance as we observe the Jubilee Year of St. Francis, commemorating the 800th anniversary of his Transitus, his passing from earthly life into his heavenly home.
During this special Jubilee Year, the Church offers a plenary indulgence to the faithful who make a pilgrimage to a Franciscan church or a place of worship dedicated to St. Francis. To receive the indulgence, pilgrims should participate devoutly in the Jubilee observance or spend time in prayerful meditation, concluding with the Our Father, the Creed, and prayers invoking the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Francis, St. Clare, and the saints of the Franciscan family.
The usual conditions also apply: sacramental confession, reception of Holy Communion, prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father, and freedom from attachment to sin. The indulgence may be received for oneself or offered for a soul in Purgatory.
