Featuring photography by the Deaf children of Dadaab Refugee Complex and Aftit Refugee Camp.
About this Event

Step into the world of Deaf refugee children during this immersive photographic exhibit, created by the children themselves.
During our July medical missions to Ethiopia and the Kenya-Somalia border, we gave cameras to our patients and invited them to document the people, places, and moments that make up their everyday lives.
The result is a collection of intimate, unexpected, and beautiful photographs—from friendship and family to play and the quiet moments of daily life. Rather than seeing these children through someone else’s lens, this exhibit allows you to experience their world through their own.
All funds raised through this exhibit will go towards our return mission, bringing hearing aids, sign language and humanitarian aid to Deaf children in refugee camps and areas of conflict around the world.
