TWO features, TWO shorts, FOUR DAYS of benefit films coming to Corvallis, Oregon.The Oregon Battalion of 50 States for Ukraine is hosting two award-winning film screenings in Corvallis: “Cuba & Alaska,” and the first Oregon screening of “Divia”. It's your opportunity to help send vehicles to Ukraine's defenders while immersing yourself in the stories of Ukraine.
“Cuba and Alaska” is a raw and intimate profile of two Ukrainian medics from the frontline of the war. The film captures the funny, the arcane, the painfully tragic and surprisingly warm healing that make up a soldier’s emotional journey during wartime. This film will be accompanied by the Oregon premiere of the short film The Land We Fight For. Screening: October 9 and 10, at 6:30 PM
“Divia” shows the destruction caused by the russian invasion of Ukraine and is scored by Grammy-award winner Sam Slater. This film will be accompanied by the short film Farmers of Kherson. Screening: October 11 and 12,at 4 PM.
