Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery Park and Arboretum invite you to attend our annual Open House on Sunday, October 11, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.Step back in time as you visit frontiersmen at their camp; meet Dr. John Hale’s ancestor, Thomas Ingles; Booker T. Washington’s mother, Jane Ferguson; Colonel John Appleton; and other noted citizens of the area.
Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the park, speak with representatives of state and local agencies about nature, birds, and wildlife, and watch honey bees at work in their hive. Stroll through natural beauty and history while enjoying scenic views of Charleston.
Spring Hill Cemetery Park is home to the Mary Price Ratrie Arboretum, the largest arboretum in the state.
