☕ Founder Ops Breakfast
A private rooftop working session for founders ready to scale without operational chaos
This is the October session of a small monthly founder series designed to explore the operational side of scaling a business.
If your business has grown but running it feels heavier than it should, your operations may not have caught up with your revenue.
Join a small group of founders for a 3-hour rooftop working session focused on the operational systems that support a growing business.
It’s also the groundwork for succession: whether you plan to sell, franchise, hand over to a GM or step back, the business has to be able to run without you first.
As businesses grow, operational complexity grows with them. What worked when you had a small team or a handful of clients often starts to break down as revenue increases. Decisions pile up with the founder, knowledge lives in people’s heads, and the business can begin to feel heavier to run.
The Founder Ops Breakfast is a private, small-group session designed to help founders step back from the day-to-day and look at how their business actually operates.
Over coffee, premium pastries, and a rooftop view of the city, we’ll explore the operational structures that allow businesses to scale consistently without relying on the founder to hold everything together - the same things a buyer or a successor would look for before they could step into your seat.
This is not a lecture and not a networking event.
It’s a facilitated roundtable where founders share real challenges, identify operational risks, and learn practical ways to create more clarity, consistency, and leverage in their business.
To keep the conversation valuable, the session is limited to just 8 founders.
The breakfast runs monthly, so if this session fills, the next date is the one to grab.
🧠 A guided operational stress test of your business
💬 Honest discussion with other founders facing similar challenges
🔍 A framework for identifying operational bottlenecks and dependencies
⚙️ Insight into how strong businesses design systems and decision structures
📈 A clear view of where your business still depends on you - and what that dependency costs when it’s time to sell, franchise or step back
You’ll leave with clearer visibility into the operational gaps that may be slowing your growth.
📓 A notebook or laptop for notes
💡 Real examples of operational challenges in your business
🧠 An open mind and willingness to share honestly
This session works best when founders are open about what is actually happening inside their business.
Come ready to think about your business at a structural level.
We’ll explore:
⚙️ Where decisions get stuck
📚 Where knowledge lives inside people instead of systems
🧩 Where the founder is still the operational bottleneck
The goal is not to leave with more tasks, but with clearer thinking about how your business can run with greater consistency, clarity, and independence from the founder.
This session is designed for founders who are actively running and growing a business.
It will be most valuable if you:
🚀 Run a business with an active team (not solo)
📈 Are generating consistent revenue and beginning to scale
🧠 Feel like too many decisions still depend on you
⚙️ Want clearer systems, processes, and operational structure
💬 Are open to honest conversation about the realities of running a growing business
🔑 Are thinking about succession, a sale, franchising or a step back in the next one to five years
This event probably won’t be the right fit if you:
❌ Are still in the early “idea stage” of a business
❌ Prefer passive learning rather than discussion
❌ Are looking purely for marketing or growth hacks
❌ Are not comfortable talking openly about business challenges
❌ Are attending primarily to network or promote your services
This is a small, conversation-based working session, not a seminar or networking event. (Although you will probably meet some really great people who we encourage you to connect with afterwards!)
Amanda from Imagine8 helps founders turn the knowledge in their heads into operational systems their teams can actually run. She works with founders who want the business to survive them, whether that means a sale, a handover or simply a proper holiday.
She works with growing businesses to convert tribal knowledge into clear processes, decision frameworks, and operational playbooks so companies can deliver consistent results without the founder being involved in everything.
Her philosophy is simple:
A real business is one that can deliver consistent, excellent outcomes without relying on the founder to hold it together.
