For all you Melbourne, die hard, alt/country fans out there, have we got a show for you…Forty Years of Guitar Town!
On Sunday 8 November, Shane Nicholson and Duncan Phillips, backed by all-star band Brad Christmas, James Gilligan, Craig Kelly and Matt Gibson, will take the stage at the Brunswick Ballroom to celebrate the record that put Steve Earle into the hearts and minds of country fans the world over, Guitar Town.
The band will perform Guitar Town in full, exactly as it was recorded in 1986. No reworking, no shortcuts, no reinterpretations. Just one of the all time great alt/country
records played as intended.
After a short break, the band will return for a second set featuring special guests Van Walker, Freya Josephine Hollick, Katie Brianna and Kim Volkman. Expect deep cuts, much loved duets and some of the gems that have kept Steve Earle in constant rotation for four decades.
So, put on the double denim and we’ll see you at the Brunswick Ballroom on Sunday 8 November!
