About this Event
Forest Therapy: A Day of Play (women only)
A little less thinking, a little more playing.
Before the holiday season arrives and the to-do lists, obligations, and general chaos start piling up, give yourself permission to do something a little different.
Join us for a two-hour guided forest therapy experience where we'll step away from the demands of everyday life and rediscover the simple joy of play. Through sensory exploration, playful movement, and imagination, we'll immerse ourselves in the natural world and approach our surroundings with the curiosity and wonder we so easily had as children.
No schedules to manage, no expectations to meet, and nothing to accomplish. Just an opportunity to slow down, get curious, have a little fun, and remember what it feels like to be fully present.
What to Expect
Forest therapy, also known as forest bathing, invites us to slow down and reconnect with the natural world through our senses. Rather than focusing on distance traveled or identifying everything around us, we explore our surroundings through guided invitations that encourage curiosity, awareness, and connection.
This experience puts a playful spin on traditional forest bathing. We'll use our imaginations, engage with our surroundings, move, explore, and see what happens when we give ourselves permission to experience nature a little differently.
You don't need to be creative, artistic, or particularly good at anything. You don't even need to consider yourself a playful person. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to try something different.
During Our Time Together, You'll Be Invited To:
- Explore your surroundings through sensory invitations that awaken your awareness of the natural world.
- Use your imagination and look at familiar things from a different perspective.
- Engage in playful movement and discover new ways to interact with your environment.
- Step outside your usual patterns of thinking and reconnect with your natural curiosity.
- Slow down, be present, and enjoy the freedom of doing something without needing a particular outcome.
- Share in a lighthearted experience with other women.
Every forest therapy experience is unique, shaped by the season, the natural surroundings, and the curiosity of the group. There is no right or wrong way to participate. Every invitation is just that: an invitation. You are always welcome to engage in whatever way feels comfortable.
Why a Day of Play?
Somewhere along the way, adulthood gets pretty serious. We spend so much time thinking, planning, organizing, and taking care of everyone and everything that we don't always leave much room for simply playing.
Children don't need a reason to explore a stick, follow a sound, or imagine an entirely different world around them. They're naturally curious, engaged, and immersed in the moment.
What if we gave ourselves permission to do a little more of that?
This experience is an opportunity to step out of your thinking mind, reconnect with your senses, and remember that play doesn't have an age limit.
And what better time to do that than right before the holidays?
