Preschool Forest School - Autumn into WinterFriday mornings - Rowntree Park, York - For children under 5
Join us for our next block of Friday Forest School, as we enjoy the last of autumn and welcome the winter months!
Our little explorers will be discovering the changing colours of the woodland, learning about animals preparing for hibernation and getting creative with nature-inspired Christmas decorations as the festive season approaches.
Each week brings new opportunities to explore, play and discover, with activities including woodland games, stories, nature crafts and hands-on adventures. Children may also have the chance to try simple tools and campfire cooking, all with appropriate guidance and supervision.
And of course, we'll finish each session gathered around the campfire for hot chocolate, a warm snack, marshmallows and stories!
Why Forest School?
Forest School is about much more than outdoor play. By returning to the same woodland over several weeks, children build confidence, develop friendships, learn new skills and discover how nature changes with the seasons.
Sessions are led by Christine, our fully qualified Forest School practitioner and longstanding Friends of Rowntree Park volunteer.
