About this Event
Friday 25 September | 6.00–7.00pm (Arrival from 5.30pm) Entry Hill, Bath
Celebrate the opening of September’s Forest of Imagination: River of Dreams at Entry Hill with a shared feast in the forest meadow, lovingly prepared by Bath Community Kitchen.
Explore the installations flowing through the landscape and graze along the way on a plant-based, gluten-free menu inspired by the forest and the best of the autumn harvest and hedgerows. Enjoy a canapé starter, a colourful poke bowl and Autumnal sweet fruits to follow.
Along the way, there will also be moments of poetry and performance from Toby Thompson and Oliver Wallace, as we eat, wander and gather together in the landscape.
Forest Feast is open to all – bringing together friends, supporters, neighbours and new explorers of Forest of Imagination.
Food will be served outside in the meadow and is designed to be enjoyed as you wander.
We’ll work with the weather on the day, so come prepared with a jumper, walking shoes and/or brolly if needed!
Tickets – pay what you can
We want the Forest Feast to be accessible to everyone, so tickets are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis.
- Free ticket – if paying would be a barrier, please join us as our guest.
- £10 guide price – approximately covers the cost of providing your food and helps us make the event possible.
- £20 pay it forward – covers your place and helps us provide food for someone else who may not otherwise be able to contribute.
Any money raised beyond the costs of the Feast will be shared between Bath Community Kitchen and Forest of Imagination, supporting their ongoing community work.

About Forest of Imagination
Forest of Imagination is a free, playful programme of art, nature and creativity, produced by the charity House of Imagination with a growing community of artists, designers, educators, researchers, students and local partners.
For 14 years, Forest of Imagination has transformed spaces across Bath into places for collective imagination, inviting people of all ages to experience familiar landscapes differently through installations, performances, workshops and creative encounters.
This September, River of Dreams returns to Entry Hill as a living design laboratory, exploring the landscape together and inviting the community to imagine possibilities for its future. Rather than presenting a finished vision, the weekend creates a space to experiment, gather, eat, make, play and share ideas about how this extraordinary green space might evolve.
Forest Feast marks the opening of the weekend, followed on Saturday 26 September, 10am - 5pm, by a full day of free, drop-in workshops, activities, installations and creative experiences across Entry Hill. Everyone is welcome to come back, explore the River of Dreams and take part throughout the day.
About Bath Community Kitchen
We are a Bath-based not-for-profit CIC (Community Interest Company). Our brilliant team of cooks and volunteers love to share their passion for good food and tackling food waste.
We want to create warm and welcoming spaces where there is a place for everyone to come together, share a meal packed with goodness and gain skills and experiences that extend beyond the kitchen.
Coming together in the kitchen and around a shared table is nourishing. It’s good for our health and wellbeing, our heads and our hearts. Working with local food producers and shops to rescue surplus ingredients and turn them into wholesome meals is good for the planet too!
As a team we want to fuel lasting change in our community. Helping people feel less lonely, more nourished and part of a connected community.

As daylight fades, join artists Briony Hartley and Madeleine Bell for an atmospheric evening experience exploring Entry Hill through the heightened senses of the night.

Explore ideas around nocturnal biodiversity and moon meadows, and encounter a large glowing, moon-like moth trap revealing a sample of the nocturnal life already living at Entry Hill.
Take home free moon meadow seeds to support moths and other nighttime wildlife in your own garden, and share ideas about how our green spaces can become thriving nocturnal environments for all living things.
Nocturne Moon Meadow begins at 7.00pm, immediately following the Forest Feast.
