Come to our Kettle Run Road East trailhead from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on November 14, 2026, to experience Forest Bathing again! (AKA “Shinrin Yoku” the Japanese term which simply means “taking in the forest atmosphere”).
Join our Trail Ambassadors for a short distance mindful walk in the woods (interspersed with some great info about Black Run Preserve). Enjoy taking part in brief guided invitations that will re- awaken your senses to the rejuvenating benefits of nature. If you seek the silence of the woods (along with a bit of quiet conversation) this one’s for YOU! This slow paced guided 1.3-mile nature walk will be interspersed with mindful activities plus lessons about the unique ecology in this Pinelands environment.
Gather with other outdoor, peace-loving enthusiasts and Friends of the Black Run Preserve. The trail is mostly a mix of light gravel and sand. A small elevation (uphill) portion near the beginning of the hike but the remainder of the trails are flat. Tree roots, trail imperfections, and muddy areas exist, and some trails may be wet. Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended. Please dress for the weather and come prepared with water and bug spray.
