About this Event
Looking for a relaxing way to start your Sunday? Join us for a slow, soothing forest bathing experience among Ruskin park’s beautiful trees. A chance to unwind, breathe more fully, and let nature ease tension and stress from body and mind. Come as you are and leave feeling calmer, clearer, more connected.
What to Expect: You'll hear about the orirgins and benefits of forest bathing. Then we’ll wander at a gentle pace, pausing for some mindfulness practices helping you tune into the sights, sounds, textures and scents of the trees and plants around you. Under the tree canopy, you’ll settle into a guided relaxation designed to leave you feeling grounded, restored, and quietly energised. We finish with a warming organic tea and snack to gently bring you back into the day.
Decades of scientific research shows that time spent in wooded spaces can boost mood, reduce stress and anxiety, support immune function, and improve sleep — and many people feel the benefits after just one session.
Your Guide, Maya, is trained with The Forest Bathing Institute (CMA‑accredited) and has led over 300 people through forest bathing sessions in Beckenham Place Park and for council staff in Surrey. She has travelled to Japan to learn directly from and collaborate with pioneers of forest therapy, bringing authentic, evidence‑based practice to each session.
