eight&four explores how brands produce social content that cuts through in today’s creator and AI-driven world.
About this Event

Foresight is a Ted Talk- style event for marketing leaders navigating unprecedented change.

Our third event explores one of the most urgent challenges in modern marketing: how brands produce social content that cuts through.

The explosion of creators, AI tools and new distribution platforms has radically changed how social content is made. Production cycles are faster, expectations are higher, and audiences are more discerning than ever.

Brands now need to think less like advertisers and more like publishers — designing ideas that capture attention, spark conversation and build lasting audiences.

In this fast-paced afternoon, we’ll unpack the new playbook for social content: how to structure production teams, create ideas that stop the scroll, harness AI without losing craft, and build communities that keep coming back.

Expect practical models, real case studies and honest discussion about what actually works.

Agenda

🕑: 03:00 PM - 03:10 PM
Welcome – The Production Problem
Host: Patricia Lefebure, Group ECD, eight&four Group

Info: Social content has moved from campaign thinking to continuous production. Patricia sets the stage: how modern teams are restructuring around speed, volume and performance - and the core challenges brands face producing content that actually works.

🕑: 03:10 PM - 03:30 PM
Stop the Scroll: The Playbook of Attention
Host: Henry Scriven, Creative Director, eight&four Group

Info: Creators know if you don’t capture attention instantly, you’ve lost them. In this session we’ll explore how creators design hooks, visual moments and ideas that stop people mid scroll, and what brands can learn from the creator mindset when building social content.

🕑: 03:30 PM - 03:50 PM
The New Rules of Social Craft
Host: Nate Harper, Creative Lead, eight&four Group

Info: Somewhere along the way, brands were told that good social content means low effort filming, shaky cameras, and chaotic energy. But not every brand benefits from content that looks like it was filmed in a rush. In this session, we’ll look at how to effectively operate between composed and informal, balancing craft with authenticity to create work that feels intentional without feeling like an ad.

🕑: 03:50 PM - 04:10 PM
After the Post: Building Community On and Off the Feed
Host: Sarah Heavens, Editorial Director, eight&four Group

Info: Great content evolves through people. This session explores how digital community management and real-world community building work hand in hand. From nurturing conversations in the comment section, to creating meaningful connections IRL, we’ll share how brands can move from simply publishing content to actively shaping communities.

🕑: 04:10 PM - 04:20 PM
Refreshment Break
🕑: 04:20 PM - 04:40 PM
Internal Content: The Channel Most Brands Ignore
Host: Will Parkinson, eight&four Co-Founder

Info: For years, internal comms has relied on email as the primary communication channel. Yet internal audiences increasingly expect the same quality of storytelling and engagement they see externally. This panel explores how organisations are transforming internal comms into content people actually want to engage with.

🕑: 04:40 PM - 05:00 PM
The Rise of the Specialist Creator
Host: Henry Scriven, Creative Director, eight&four Group

Info: Today’s most influential creators are specialists who build loyal audiences by sharing expertise and knowledge that people genuinely care about. In this panel, we’ll explore how creators found their niche, how they grow engaged audiences, and how they choose brand partnerships that align with their communities.

🕑: 05:00 PM - 05:20 PM
Intentional Creative in the Age of AI
Host: Emily Mulhall, Motion Director, eight&four Group

Info: As AI reshapes creative workflows, the most valuable skill isn’t prompting — it’s creative judgement. This talk explores how the intentional use of AI can elevate ideas, helping creatives guide the tools rather than be led by them.

🕑: 05:40 PM
Close & Drinks

Info: Let the debates continue over drinks.
