For One More Breath (Play)

For One More Breath is a student-written play that explores the lives of a 1902 Appalachian coal mine community in Tennessee in the aftermath of a devastating explosion. What happens when a moment can change the fabric of the worlds that we know? Two families must ask this of themselves as they learn how to move on, or past, the tragedy that devastates their whole town. All that remains are the words they have for us now.

This show takes us beneath the Earth and into the hollers of the Great Smoky Mountains, exploring themes of grief, family, love, women's unpaid labor, and the dark price of industry.
