Not every coping mechanism is an addiction. Not every problem in music is about substance. But the pressure is real, and most of us carry it alone.
For the fifth year, For Love and Health of House brings the personal side of working in electronic music into the centre of ADE. Two days at A Lab in Amsterdam-Noord about mental health, substance use and addiction in the electronic music industry. Panels, workshops and peer-to-peer support groups. No polish, no PR.

Where Is My Off Switch?
The pressure doesn't only come from the industry. It also comes from what we bring into it. We talk about burnout, anxiety, depression and exhaustion, and why so many of us can't switch off.
When the Music Industry Comes Home With You
What happens when relationships, family life and working in music bump heads? We talk about what the job does to the people at home, and what you say when you're not okay.
Is It a Matter of Substance?
Not every problem with alcohol or drugs means you're addicted. We talk about how mental health and substance use feed each other, where a habit turns into harm, and what helps.
