Cheng “Technica” Xiong premieres his short film Footprints Over the Mekong.“I am deeply grateful to share my newest project with you—a short dance film exploring the other side of the hopes and dreams of the Hmong people, and the journeys where those dreams were shattered. In collaboration with Jack GV Studios, we have created a dance film that brings these stories to life, reflecting on the journey of Hmong people who fled Laos to Thailand in search of safety, and the promise of a new beginning in America. Another amazing collaborator, Alina Xiong, will be bringing all new and original sounds to the life of this work. This project is more than a dance film. It is an exploration of our history, our resilience, and the stories that continue to live within us.”
