We’re excited to offer another unique opportunity to photograph D3 college football from the sidelines — this time on Halloween! 🎃
Join us on Saturday, October 31st at Case Western Reserve University as they take on Thiel College for a special Halloween daytime photography workshop. Designed specifically for beginner and intermediate photographers, this hands-on experience lets you step onto the sidelines of a real game to build your sports photography skills. Beyond the on-field action, you'll capture the unique festive atmosphere of game day—including pregame activities, fans, cheerleaders, the band, and all the sights and sounds that make college football special.

• Help spotting plays and anticipating the action

Unlike our night football workshops, this daytime game provides plenty of available light, making it an excellent opportunity for beginner and intermediate photographers to learn the fundamentals of sports photography without the added challenge of stadium lighting.
📓What we’ll cover:
• White balance under stadium lighting
• Aperture/F-stop and available light
• Shutter speed for freezing action
• ISO and exposure
• Anticipating plays and positioning yourself for the shot
📷 What Gear Should You Bring?
Participants should have a basic understanding of their camera and manual or semi-manual settings.
Longer and faster lenses are strongly recommended. Ideal options include:
• 70–200mm
• 300mm
• 400mm
• 100–500mm or similar zoom
• Wide-angle lenses for unique perspectives of the band, cheerleaders, fans and game action
☔Rain or Shine
Participants are responsible for their own camera equipment and should come prepared for changing fall weather. The workshop will take place rain or shine, so dress appropriately and protect your gear.
⚠️Limited Availability
Due to NCAA requirements, we can only accommodate a limited number of photographers. We expect this workshop to sell out quickly, early registration is strongly recommended.
