Learn about the benefits and the beauty of food forests. Compared to many community gardens, food forests are more biodiverse, behave more like natural ecosystems, and take advantage of helpful interactions between different plants as well as perennial growth. Begin in the classroom with a lecture and group discussion, then tour the community food forest being built by Acterra and Veggielution. Finally, take part in a group activity where you'll "think like a plant" and do some actual planning and planting onsite!
By attending this event, you give consent to Acterra for possible photography which may be used for promotional purposes, inclusion on websites, and social media by Acterra and its community partners. You may choose to remain off-camera.

Aprenda sobre los beneficios y la belleza de los bosques comestibles. En comparación con muchos huertos comunitarios, los bosques comestibles ofrecen una mayor biodiversidad, funcionan más como ecosistemas naturales y aprovechan las interacciones beneficiosas entre diferentes plantas, así como el crecimiento perenne.
