To all our wonderful FOWW volunteers,We wish to invite you to our next Activity Day at Jawbone Flora and Fauna Reserve this coming Sunday, 8th November, from 10am to 12 noon.
The activity will commence by taking a native grassland walk. This will be a great opportunity to learn about many of the wildflowers growing on the basalt plain at Jawbone Flora and Fauna Reserve. Species such as Rice flower and Native geranium, as well as others, such as the Chocolate Lily, which may be flowering.
We shall then undertake W**d control in the eastern section of Jawbone, adjacent to the boardwalk, where recent plantings have taken place.
This will involve cutting off W**d seed heads and placing them into bags, hopefully preventing weeds from spreading during the summer period.
Details are :
Meet and register at Jawbone Arboretum 10am.
