Sertodo Copper is excited to host a fold forming class in collaboration with jewelry artist and instructor Caroline Miller in celebration of Sertodo's 30th anniversary! Discover the art of fold forming in this hands-on introductory metalsmithing workshop.
Participants will learn how to transform flat copper sheet into three-dimensional sculptural forms through folding, hammering, annealing and unfolding. Throughout the workshop, Caroline will guide you step-by-step.
Students will explore several techniques, create experimental samples and develop a favourite into a small sculptural or wearable piece. No previous metalsmithing experience required.
