Stoneflies are an important food source for trout and some of the most productive insects to imitate in mountain streams. During the October Fly-Tying Forum, participants will tie two proven stonefly patterns: Pat’s Rubber Legs and the Bitch Creek Nymph. These patterns provide a “success first, stretch second” progression. Pat’s Rubber Legs introduces a simple, durable design built around a segmented body and lifelike rubber-leg movement. The classic Bitch Creek adds a contrasting two-tone body, hackle, and additional material-control techniques. Participants will leave with two versatile flies and a better understanding of how stonefly nymphs are designed and fished.
Space is limited—reserve your seat today and join us at the Pechmann Center for an evening of learning, tying, and fellowship!
