An immersive , nostalgic and insightful look into what it took for me to survive New York City as a Hip-Hop dancer in the early 2000s.About this Event
How far would you go to live your dream?
Would you leave an ivy league university? Risk job security? Go into credit card debt?
Would you break the law?
To succeed as a dancer in NYC in 2004, I did all of those things and I've lived to tell about it.
My dance classes, let alone the story of my dance success, have drawn attention from international media outlets since 2003. I thought - why not bring it all together in one cohesive event filled with 2000s hip hop and r&b, laughter, and of course SWEAT so that you can experience dance as a metaphor for life. No matter how hard shit gets, believe in yourself and never give up.
Now let's make moves...
*learn challenging 2000s hip-hop choreography
*be inspired by my tale of survival as an illegal immigrant (from Canada lol)
*treat yourself (and your homies) to an experience that you'll talk about for years to come.
