✅ Protect the Goolay’yari (Cooks River) ❌ Say NO to the Mega-Industrial Development!

Developers Stockland and John Boyd have submitted plans to transform a vital riverfront green space on the site of the former Kogarah Golf Course into a heavy industrial hub, complete with a massive logistics hub and an AI data center.
The Cooks River is a recovering ecosystem, providing sanctuary for native plant and animal species. This proposal threatens the river with pollution and runoff, and would see over 800 native trees destroyed, wiping out crucial habitat.
WHY WE MUST RESIST:
💧Resource Drain: Hyperscale AI data centers consume massive amounts of water and power, emit toxic waste, and generate constant, relentless noise pollution.
🌱 Environmental Destruction: A hotel, logistics center, and heavy infrastructure will permanently damage our scenic green haven.
🌡️ Climate Injustice: These projects prioritise corporate profits over everyday people, putting enormous strain on our power grid, water security, local economy and generating demand for fossil fuel expansion.
Stop the Cooks River AI Project (SCRAP) is calling on the community to unite and fight back!
We demand that developments on local land MUST prioritise the river, biodiversity, and community wellbeing over corporate greed.
This isn’t just a local issue; it’s a critical fight for climate justice across NSW and Australia.
