Join us for an electrifying evening with Flight 584 Big Band, a powerhouse ensemble directed by saxophonist John Mitchell, featuring five reeds, eight brass, and a four-piece rhythm section. This dynamic group brings to life the vibrant sounds of the Great American Swing tradition with arrangements by legends such as Sammy Nestico, Billy Byers, Bob Florence, Terry Gibbs, Bill Holman, Quincy Jones, Oliver Nelson, Mike Barone, Tommy Newsom, Tom Kubis—and many more.
Recent performances include appearances at Calabasas’ Sage Brush Cantina with special guest vocalist Richie “La Bamba” Rosenberg—known from The Conan O’Brien Show—as well as popular gigs at Viva Cantina in Burbank and the Mayflower Club in North Hollywood. Their repertoire spans swingin’ dance‑floor favorites, intricate orchestrations, and contemporary big band jazz.
