Two musicians. Five tastes. No recipe.Shaun Johnson and Aaron Moe of the Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience are trading the stage for the kitchen! They’ll introduce you to the five basic tastes - sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami - then show you how to layer, balance and play with them to create something delicious.
You’ll build and taste right along with them, mixing, matching and tweaking ingredients to create your own favorite bites. And because we’re at Iron Street Distillery, their mixologist will join the fun with a look at how those same ideas work in cocktails and mocktails, available to order during class.
No recipes to master. Just taste, experiment and see what happens.
