About this Event
are do-it-together community-based exploration workshops staffed by volunteer Fixit Coaches who generously share their time, tools and expertise to consult with you on the disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of items.
Please expect to sign in with your item upon arrival to Artisans Asylum. This will help us pair you to an onsite coach!
Bring your broken belongings — electronic gadgets, vital appliances, cherished toys, bicycles, fabric items, jewelry etc. — for assessment, disassembly, and hopefully repair! Fixit Coaches will be available for consultation: we will provide workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you disassemble and troubleshoot your item. Whether you fix your item or not, you'll learn more about how it was manufactured and how it worked, ready to share your new-found confidence and insight with your friends, neighbors, and the community at large.
Anyone under the age of 18 is welcome to attend with a responsible adult. This event is in person and has parking on site! Doors open at 10:50am, please find additional wayfinding below:
- Plug 96 Holton Street into your GPS - your maps will take you to the side of our building.
- Continue driving and take your first left into the parking lot with the sign “100 Holton Street”.
- Enter through our Front Door directly to the right of the blue awning.
- Please check in by the purple couch upon your arrival.
