What does it mean to faithfully steward all that God has entrusted to us?
Inspired by Jesus’ parable of the talents, the Five Talent Forum will bring together Christian leaders, professionals, and ministries for an evening devoted to purposeful generosity. We will consider both the biblical motivation for giving and the many ways God can use our resources for lasting kingdom impact.
Life. Missions. Education.
The opportunities featured throughout the evening are rooted in ministries and partnerships connected to our community, yet their potential impact extends far beyond it—strengthening families, advancing the gospel, and forming Christian leaders for generations to come.
The evening will unfold in two parts:
Part One: Why and How We Give
Chris McAlpin of the National Christian Foundation will explore the gospel-shaped motivation behind Christian generosity.
Michael King, an attorney specializing in complex charitable gifts, will then introduce creative ways to steward assets beyond traditional cash giving.
Part Two: Where Giving Makes an Impact
Leaders from Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic, Global Outreach International, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary will present concrete opportunities to invest in three areas of generational importance:
- Life: Helping Parkgate expand its ministry through a new facility
- Missions: Supporting a Global Outreach documentary designed to inspire the next generation of missionaries
- Education: Advancing professional theological education through Kintsugi’s partnership with The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served before the program, followed by desserts and conversation afterward.
