About this Event
Five Morsels of Love features over 100 heirloom recipes based on G Nirmala Reddy’s 1974 South Indian cookbook, Vanita Vanṭakālu. With stunning photos, striking design, and soulful writing, Nirmala Reddy’s granddaughter, Archana, presents a cross-section of their family recipes and stories introducing the reader to the flavours of Andhra Pradesh.
To celebrate Five Morsels' 10th anniversary, Archana will be hosting an intimate, candlelit supper club at The Cookbook Shop. Enjoy a warming and deeply flavourful South Indian meal as Archana relays stories that capture the sweeping history of her family's connection to food--from their ancestral mango farm (and, therefore, the mango pickle on your plate) to the highly unique design of her cookbooks.
Guests 13 and up are very welcome; under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. The meal will be vegetarian and largely gluten-free. Please note that at this particular event, we can't accommodate for nut or peanut allergies.
