About this Event
As part of London Climate Action Week, The Fitzrovia Partnership and the Camden Climate Alliance are partnering to host a breakfast workshop on creating a cleaner, more climate-resilient Camden.
Long-term exposure to air pollution is estimated to contribute to up to 36,000 deaths each year in the UK. Air pollution and the climate crisis are closely linked and as temperatures rise during the warmer months, air quality can worsen - creating greater risks to productivity, health and wellbeing.
In this session businesses will gain a better understanding of the impacts of heat and air pollution, and explore the practical steps businesses can take to build resilience to a changing climate. We'll hear from:
- Dr. Pauline Paterson, Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
- Dr. James Milner, Professor in Climate Change, Environment and Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
You’ll also hear from Camden Council's Air Quality team about the council’s plans to tackle heat and air pollution across the borough, while having the opportunity to share your ideas on how we can work together to create cleaner air and a more resilient borough. Your insights will help shape Camden's new Clean Air Action Plan launching in 2027.
