About the exhibit:
Connecticut’s Revolution explores Connecticut’s role in the founding of the United States. Exhibited through a 21st-century lens, this display of over 100 artifacts and documents from the Museum of Connecticut History, the Connecticut State Archives, and museums across the state helps viewers understand the perspectives and experiences of the people here before us: Connecticut’s men, women, and children from America, Europe, and Africa; Patriots and Loyalists; soldiers and statesmen; painters and printers; and farmers and sailors. Connecticut’s Revolution helps us understand how everyone in Connecticut was affected by this tumultuous time and how our small state played an out-sized role in the war’s outcome.
Support for Connecticut’s Revolution comes from Connecticut Humanities as part of its America 250 | CT program, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and from sponsors Liberty Bank, Hinckley Allen, Prime Materials, ProPark, Koskoff, Koskoff and Bieder, Data Mail, Robinson + Cole, and the Schmid Family.
