First Tracks Winter Kick Off

We're stoked... to get you stoked on this upcoming winter!

What do you get if you cram 6 world class athletes into a magic school bus with an open road and empty line ups? In our case, we created a group flow state, built an unbreakable team, and experienced enough sunrises and sunsets that our eyes started to shine that vibrant light themselves.

Every experience has a surface. And beneath it, the people who give it meaning. Inside the Season is a high-energy and reflective look back at an eventful 2026 winter with the HEAD & Tyrolia global freeskiing team. From early-season preparation and travel days to storm cycles, road laughs, team hangs, and standout moments in the mountains, the film captures the full rhythm of a season on the move

Actually, It Is Rocket Science is the newest chapter in TGR’s ongoing study of the fall line, told through the world’s best skiers as they turn the mountain into a laboratory and every descent into an experiment.

The study spans Bute Inlet, British Columbia; Haines, Alaska; Japan; Finland; Andorra; Montana; Jay Peak, Vermont; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Different mountains, snowpacks, conditions, and approaches—but the same forces are always at work: speed, gravity, instinct, and consequence.

Ticket must be purchased for each show. If you would like to stay for the late show, a late-show ticket must be purchased before showtime, ticket availability is not guaranteed with last-minute purchases.

This is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather.

18 years of age & older only. A valid government ID is required.

Award winning director Finlay Woods cut his teeth in the most dynamic filming environments. He's one of the leading outdoor cinematographers, with a unique ability to extract stories while capturing action and emotion.

With all the heavy happenings in the world recently we've gone for a lighthearted approach. We wanted it to be a fun watch for the audience to sit back and enjoy the simple refreshing feeling of getting outside with your friends. It's an honest reflection of the vibe, the shared energy, and group dynamic we created throughout the adventure.

Every experience has a surface. And beneath it, the people who give it meaning. Inside the Season is a high-energy and reflective look back at an eventful 2026 winter with the HEAD & Tyrolia global freeskiing team. From early-season preparation and travel days to storm cycles, road laughs, team hangs, and standout moments in the mountains, the film captures the full rhythm of a season on the move. More than a results reel, it explores everything that goes into a season; the anticipation, decisions, relationships, and challenges that shape the experience long before the payoff. Blending behind-the-scenes vérité, action, and athlete-driven storytelling, Inside the Season follows one of skiing’s most dynamic teams through the unpredictability of a winter together, chasing opportunity, adapting when plans change, and making the most of the moments when everything comes together.

Actually, It Is Rocket Science is a tongue-in-cheek look at the seemingly reckless abandon that many of the world's best snow athletes display as they push the physics of what is possible. Athletes explore the intricacies of dissecting a big mountain line, the physics and amplitude of a massive gap, calculating transition, and the force of gravity.

So, is it rocket science—or is it not?

Watch closely and decide for yourself.

Based in Canmore, Alberta, Rocky Mountain Adaptive (RMA) is a registered charity providing individuals of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate, learn and excel at mountain sport and recreation. We work to remove cognitive, physical and social barriers to the participation, supporting guests at every step, roll, or glide. RMA has witnessed, first hand, the benefits of participation in its programs that go beyond the social aspects of equality and inclusion.

Rocky Mountain Adaptive (RMA) started in 2009 with a dream: to promote adaptive sport, create independence, and develop opportunities. The foundation of RMA began with adaptive ski lessons at Sunshine Village Ski Resort in Banff, AB. This dream grew into a community, connecting guests to adventures and supporters to opportunities, redefining the definition of ability.

Today, RMA provides offers over 20 different sport and recreational activities in the Bow Valley area (including Canmore, Kananaskis, Banff, Lake Louise, and surrounding areas) to guests from all over the world and facilitates single to multi-day experiences, catering to entry-level participants, developing competitive athletes and everyone in between. RMA provides private lessons, guided experiences, multi-day programs and camps, equipment rentals, and programming to disability groups.

We're excited to welcome back Sundance Ski & Board Shop to First Tracks. As one of Calgary's premier ski and snowboard retailers, the Sundance team will be on-site during the event, connecting with guests, sharing expertise, and get you geared up for another great ski season!
