About this Event
JOIN US FOR FIRST SATURDAYS- A very special event celebrating the power of community, arts, and connection.
On the first Saturday of each month, we will transform a unique space into a pop-up style art show featuring visual arts by local People's Gallery Project artists and special live performances by local musicians and poets. Imagine a Saturday evening at your favorite cafe, surrounded by art, creativity and good energy!
For Saturday 5/4 we are honored to have a special dynamic live performance and book release by Essence Vance and special guests! This event will include a combination of spoken word, live poetry, music, and more. Essence is an inspiring all-around artist, author, and motivational speaker and we are so excited to be surrounded by her power and creative energy.

The People's Gallery Project is an Occupational Therapy initiative to provide marginalized artists with unique entrepreneurship opportunities. We believe that art is conducive to healing and that all individuals should have the opportunity to work and sustain themselves through fulfilling entrepreneurial ventures. We are holding a series of unique community events and showcases which combine visual and performance arts in collaboration with a range of local artists and creatives. Our purpose in hosting these events is to foster community-centered healing by creating safe spaces for all individuals to come together for a shared experience. All artwork is for sale and 100% of the profits of anything sold goes directly to the artists in an effort to minimize the barriers that artists face in reaching professional and financial independence.
