Starting this September, kids ages 7-12 spend one Saturday a month at Hope Farms growing, cooking, and tasting their way along the Silk Road. This year's theme follows Marco Polo through China, Indonesia, and India, one country at a time.
This isn't a cooking class and it isn't a garden tour, it's the connection between the two. When a kid pulls a carrot out of the ground, washes it, and cooks it themselves, they're a lot more likely to eat it than if it just showed up on a plate.
