Artist Mark Figura is bringing his beautiful turned wood bowls. Each one is one of kind reflecting his artistic philosophy. Artist's Statement: "I believe that every piece of wood has many bowls hidden inside. They have an infinity of shapes and colors and grain patterns. Walnut bowls are dark and brooding, maple is light and simple, and mulberry bowls are cool and questioning. Birch bowls are blank, they ask you to give them character.
My job to imagine the best bowl hidden in every chunk of wood, and to liberate it. I want the bowls I choose to look elegant and colorful when sitting on a shelf, and to feel smooth and balanced in your hands."
