The Carolina Cutups bring First Friday Bluegrass to The Kraken stage! They're modern heros bringing monthly Krakengrass joy. Mark your calendars and be ready to dance with comfortable dance shoes and maybe a chair to rest your weary soul, and don't forget your mask. Whoopee!The pandemic has brought a year of change, leaving us longing for so much we took for granted. Live music is surely our most efficacious remedy - a bridge over troubled waters and gaping chasms. We'll never get back to whatever was normal, but if by supporting our artists we'll find inspiration to make it all better.
The Carolina Cutups play hard-driving bluegrass standards and sweet old time ballads just for you and your lovely friends. Their first set begins at 6pm and the second at 8pm. They know all the old-time favorites and love to take requests.

Venue notes:
The Kraken requires all guests to continue following pandemic guidelines at all times: utilizing masks except when imbibing at your seats, distancing despite the temptation to gather closely, and washing and sanitizing hands regularly. The Kraken's Spring hours are 3-10pm Wednesday through Saturday
While open for business, only staff and performers are permitted inside the bar, with the exception of bathroom access via the back door. Drinks are served via our window to the front porch.
We have extra masks available if you forget or misplace your own. We humbly ask y'all to encourage best practices for the health of all. We've got a ways to go before we approach anything resembling normal.
