Meet local artist and designer Molly Wheat Baker, whose work documents the natural world of the Salish Sea region. Molly’s “Salish Sea Friends” are featured in our exhibit It’s the Water.As our First Friday featured artist, Molly will be on site sharing new work. Come say hi, ask questions, and have a chance to purchase and take home original art!
As a lifelong resident, much of Molly’s work documents the natural world around her through observation and remembering. She graduated from the Interdisciplinary Arts Program at the University of Washington with a focus on fiber arts and later served as a public educator. Currently, Molly is primarily an illustrator and painter specializing in hand-painted signs and murals, along with illustration and design services.
