Info: This is the full First Aid at Work Course (FAW)
This is a 3 day blended course, where you will complete 1 day online and 2 days in the classroom
Course Content:
Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider
Conducting a scene survey, primary survey, secondary survey and illness assessment.
Providing first aid to both responsive and unresponsive casualties, including CPR, recovery position, seizure management and using an AED
Providing first aid to a casualty who is choking
Providing first aid to a casualty with external bleeding, including catastrophic bleeding
Recognising and treating shock
Treating a casualty with minor injuries including - small cuts - grazes - bruises - small splinters
Recognising and treating fractures and dislocations, sprains and strains. Recognising and treating head injuries, chest injuries, eye injuries, poisoning, heart attack, chest pain, diabetes, asthma, anaphylaxis, stroke and diabetes (major illnesses)
