Join us for our Fire Prevention Week Open House! This will take place in the apparatus bay! Stop by Fire Station 1 on Thursday, October 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. for an evening of fire safety and family fun.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week focuses on lithium-ion battery safety and the importance of safe charging. We’ll have kids’ activities, educational handouts and resources to help the whole family learn how to use and charge battery powered devices safely.
Our friends from Rapid City Solid Waste will also be there to answer your questions about how and where to properly dispose of lithium-ion batteries.
Come see us, bring the kids and learn how you can make safe charging your superpower!
