Fusing science and adventure.. Join geologists onboard as part of their research on this unique expedition and get a feel for why geology 'rocks', learn what makes Zealandia and Fiordland so special beyond what appears on the surface. Research is the reason this adventure is taking place and with that the main focus taking precedence over anything else onboard.. so fitting around that cruise, hunt, fish, kayak, paddle board, SCUBA dive, free dive, walk or simply relax in the hot tub on the top deck it's up to YOU!
Adventure begins in Milford Sound and ends with a helicopter flight out of Tamatea/Dusky Sound with the rest of the itinerary being set by the needs of the scientists and of course the weather and tides.
Research in Charles, Caswell and Doubtful Sound.
28th December 2026 - 3rd January 2027 Fiordland Geology Adventure (6 x nights) Milford/Charles, Caswell, Doubtful/ Dusky
$5,500pp
Included in the price will be transport: Ex Te Anau into Milford Sound on the 28th December and a Heli-transfer Ex Dusky to Te-Anau/Manapouri Airport then back to Te Anau on the 3rd January.
The itinerary will be developing through needs of the research crew and of course the weather and tides. There will definitely be coastal journeys involved.
