Finding the Words: An Evening with Ella Frances Saunders

The robin is woven into Britain's winter traditions, bringing a sense of comfort, familiarity and wonder during the colder months. This year, the Yorkshire Robin Festival celebrates the words that connect us not only to each other, but also to the natural world around us.

Words shape what we notice. They help us name beauty, express what we care about and deepen our connection with wildlife and wild places.

Join New York Times bestselling author Ella Frances Saunders for a special in-conversation event with Sharne McMillan, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's Director of Nature Recovery. Exploring Ella's book Words to Love a Planet, they'll discuss how language shapes the way we see nature, the stories that bring us closer to the living world and how we can find fresh meaning in our relationship with wildlife and wild places.

Enjoy a complimentary mulled wine and mince pie on arrival before settling in for an evening of conversation, reflection and inspiration.

Afterwards, browse our collection of Wild Reads and nature-inspired gifts, with every purchase helping to support Yorkshire's wildlife and wild places.
